We want our students to have a sound grounding in the foundation skills of Literacy and Numeracy and to develop the skills, attitudes and values they will need to become "life long learners" who are able to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
To have a love of learning - To achieve this we will present learning experiences where students' questions and concerns are valued so that they see their ideas are respected.
To become independent learners - We will encourage students to take increasing responsibility for their own actions, enabling them to set their own goals, take risks and to evaluate their own progress and in the process develop life-long learning habits.
To value effort and perseverance - We want our students to gain prode from their own achievements and to see the need to achieve their personal best, while acknowledging the achievement of others.
To be caring and sharing learners - We want our students to appreciate the need to think of others for the common good of our shared community; students who are sensitive to other students, respectful of other cultures and have respect for our local environment.
